Joann Holoway Davis

Mrs. Joann Holoway Davis, 89, of Vinemont, Alabama passed away at Cullman Regional Medical Center on Friday, November 17, 2023. Freeman Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with her care.

Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her son Dewight Loys Banks; parents James Amos & Dovie Mae Hollaway; sisters Reba Freeman, Margean Uptain, Paulette Creel, Enoree Browning, and Charlotte Douglas; brothers Charles Hollaway, Kenneth Hollaway, and Richard Hollaway.

She is survived by her son Dalton Dewayne Banks of Cullman, AL; daughters Diane Banks Schriver and Denise Banks both of Indianapolis, IN; 8 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services: Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 10:00 am to 5:00 PM, and Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at her residence 4339 County Road 1435 Vinemont, AL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Philadelphia Baptist Church at Burrow Crossing at 1:30 PM.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Pastor Larry Duke will officiate.
