Patricia Maxwell Anderson

Ms. Patricia Maxwell Anderson, 80, born June 20, 1943, of Jasper, passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded at home by the people she loved and loved her back, on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Pat (mom) was a friend to everyone she met. She loved everyone. Her love language was food and cooking. If you knew her, you know she loved her children and grandchildren and was so proud. Always ready to pull out pictures and show you each one.

Patricia loved music and dancing. Even at 80, she could outdance any young person in the room. She loved people and wanted to be right in the middle of them when she could.

She loved her country and its service members. She was a long-time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. So very proud to serve and respect past and future military members.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband Giles Anderson; her grandparents who raised her Lawrence M. Maxwell & Eula Mae Maxwell; her (sister-aunts) Doris & Francis; (brothers-uncles) Buster & Esker.

She leaves behind her children son Barry K. Anderson (Sandy); daughters Patricia Lynn Anderson and Debra Lee Anderson Hatfield; her sisters Barbara Drummond and Evelyne Brown; and her special friend Bill Cleghorn. She also leaves 5 grandchildren Stephanie Anderson Dharani (Ahmed), Joshua Keith Anderson, Jessica Lee Hatfield, Olivia Page Smith (Dominique), and Daniel Scott Anderson; great-grandchildren Zyesha Dharani, Darcy Dharani, Leia McKinstry, Jaxon Smith, Liam Smith, and Grayson Smith; and a host of other family and friends.

Services: A celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel.
