Peggy Sue White Boyd

Peggy Sue White Boyd, the daughter of Carnell Snow White and James White Jr. passed away at the age of 77 on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. Peggy was born on October 21^st, 1946 in Jasper, AL. 

Peggy attended Thach Elementary, Farmstead Junior High, and graduated from Curry High School. She was a former employee of Burton Manufacturing and the Arrow Shirt Company, and the former wife of Richard Delowell Ivey and Jerry Franklin Boyd. She is the mother of Richard Keith Ivey and Jerry Christopher Boyd (deceased). She is the grandmother of Tabitha Dawn Ivey Clark (Casey) and of Ryan Anthony Ivey, and the mother-in-law of Danielle Ivey 

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son. She is survived by her two brothers, Kenneth White and David White, their respective wives Carol and Chesteen, their children and grandchildren, and her cousin Leona Bennett Roberts and her family.

Funeral services were held at Freeman-Hood Funeral Services on Saturday, January 27^th, 2024. She is interred at Oak Hill Cemetery near her parents, James White Jr. and Carnell White, and her son Jerry Christopher Boyd.
