Virgil Frank Wray, Jr.

Mr. Virgil Frank Wray, Jr. of Jasper, passed away Sunday February 12, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Wray is preceded in death by his father Virgil Wray Sr.; mother Nelly Wray;  and sisters Virginia Short and Frances Roberson.

Mr. Wray is survived his wife of 63 years, Leona Dean Wray; sons Bobby Wray (Tammy) and Frankie Wray; granddaughters Heather Garrison (Dustin) and Bethany Wray; grandson Joey Wray (Layla); great-grandsons Hunter Lathum, Timber Lathum, Drake Garrison, and Cohen Wray; expecting first great-granddaughter; and sisters Brenda Drummond and Geneva Grace.

Pall Bearers will be Joey Wray, Dustin Garrison, John Roberson, Nathan Berry, Alvin Sprowl, and Austin Callahan.

Honorary Pall Bearer will be Hunter Lathum, Timber Lathum, Drake Garrison, and Cohen Wray

Services: Visitation will be held February 14, 2023, at 10:30am in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel at Freeman-Hood Funeral Services with a graveside service to follow at 12:00 PM at New Hope cemetery.  Sam Bynum will officiate
